ST. GEORGE STREET REVITILIZATION

The approach to revitalizing St George Street is built on four strategies: 1) rebuild the public infrastructure with trees, lighting, and pedestrian amenities to create a ‘Great Street’, 2) infill vacant and underutilized lots with mixed use projects that include retail on the ground floor and office and residential on the upped floors, 3) conserve the heritage resources specifically the neighborhoods north and south of St George Street and 4) expand the role for arts and culture. The plan was adopted by Moncton City Council September 2008.
