The project includes new research facilities for Fisheries & Oceans to replace existing facilities at the research station in St. Andrews. The $20 million project includes an overall site master plan, science building, wet lab and wastewater treatment facility. The project is to provide a contemporary flexible research environment while providing a “fit” within the heritage of St. Andrews and the broader maritime context. BDA Landscape Architects role within the design team included responsibility for the site design aspect of the project. The design team produced 3 site development scenarios for evaluation by the client with the preferred option developed into contract documents. BDA produced site layout and grading plans, landscape plans, site details and specifications. Target LEED silver certification. Prime Consultants - HOK
