Place 1604 is a redevelopment plan for two square blocks to create a city center in Dieppe New Brunswick. The site is at the intersection of Acadia Avenue and Champlain Street. BDA Landscape Architects led a team of engineers, architects, developers, and city staff in preparing an urban design master plan. The master plan is based on creating a town square which is formed by placing buildings along the street with a traditional downtown pedestrian streetscape of detailed sidewalks, lighting, and on-street parking along the street side. The interior of the square includes civic uses, small and large gathering areas, and outdoor cafes. The firm designed and supervised construction of the streets, plazas, fountains, gardens, and other public open space.
